PURPOSE

 

LANIER CORVETTES UNLIMITED WAS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE A FAVORABLE ATMOSPHERE FOR CORVETTE OWNERS AND ENTHUSIASTS TO DEVELOP A NETWORK OF TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, TO SUPPORT THE RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL CORVETTES, TO SHARE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN CLUB MEETINGS, TRIPS, EVENTS, AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, TO ENCOURAGE INVOLVEMENT IN PROGRAMS WHICH SERVE TO IMPROVE OUR COMMUNITY, AND TO PROMOTE ATTENTION TO PRUDENT AND SKILLFUL DRIVING HABITS.

 

BY-LAWS

 

  1. Membership is available to Corvette owners and their families.
  2. Associate membership is available to Corvette enthusiasts, age 21 and over, who are sponsored by a member.
  3. Initial membership dues are $55.00 per year for individuals, $70.00 with spouse and families, due with membership application.  Renewal dues are $65.00 for couples and $50.00 for individuals each year, due by November for the next year.  A $10.00 late fee will be charged for renewal dues not paid by November due date.
  4. Associate membership dues are $55.00 per year for individuals and $70.00 with families, due with membership application and on each November thereafter for the next year.  A $10.00 late fee will be charged for renewal dues not paid by November due date.
  5. No alcohol or mind altering substances will be tolerated at any club-sanctioned event.  Possible termination of membership or associate membership could result.
  6. All members and associate members are expected to conduct themselves properly.  Any conduct deemed unacceptable by the membership could result in termination of membership.
  7. Before termination of membership a member may submit written or verbal statement of appeal to the Board of Directors for review.
  8. All members and associate members are expected to conform to all local, state, and federal laws while attending club-sanctioned events.
  9. Club officers will be elected each year by the general membership at the November meeting.  List of officers will consist of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Events, NCCC Governor, and NCM Ambassador.
  10. Officers and up to four At Large Board Members will be elected to a term of one year, starting January 1 until December 31.  Officers and At Large Board Members will be installed at the annual Christmas Dinner.
  11. The Board of Directors will consist of eleven members and the President will serve as Chairman.  The Board will meet every third month, or may be called by any member of the Board.  Any decision made by the Board is final.
  12. Club meetings will be held the first Thursday of each month.  In case of a holiday, the meeting will be rescheduled, and the membership notified at the previous meeting. 
  13. Each member must participate in a minimum of 25% of club-sponsored events each year.
