Join us at Corvette Only for our 6^th Annual Poker Run and Corvette Show sponsored by Hooters of Greenville, South Carolina.  The event will begin on Friday, May 7^th with a gathering of Corvettes and friends at Corvette Only on Highway 123 between Greenville and Easley.  There will be a FREE beer, food, and soft drinks from 5 PM until ??????  There will be event shirts on sale along with discounted parts and accessories for Corvettes of all years.  There will also be mechanics on duty.  And a car washing station with buckets and sponges free for your use.  For those wishing for even more excitement, there will be an opportunity to caravan to a Jazz Festival in downtown Greenville with live bands and party ‘til you drop crowds until late in the evening.

 

Then after a good nights sleep (yeah, right!), Saturday’s activities start out with the gates of Corvette Only opening at 8:30 AM sharp.  There will be FREE coffee, soft drinks, and biscuits for breakfast and again mechanics on duty for those who might need one.  The first car out for the Poker Run will be at 9:30 with the last car out by 10 o’clock.  This year the route will be about 70 miles in length with some great twisty roads as well as several long straight stretches if you want to let your ponies run!!  Figure well less than three hours driving time.  There will of course be stops for drawing your poker cards and the run will end up at Hooters of Greenville where you will draw your final card.  Last car must be in by 2:00 PM, which should be no problem unless you get REALLY lost!!

 

At Hooters there will be plenty of food and drink as usual with discounts for Poker Run participants.  There will also be a DJ spinning tunes and a special “Hooter Girls” car wash available for a nominal fee (worth EVERY penny!!)  It is at this point that the Corvette show begins with categories for Most Modified Body and Interior, Most Modified Engine and Drivetrain, Best Vanity Plate, and Overall Peoples Choice award.  There will also be trophies for Lowest Miles Showing in each general year group (C1 – C5), Overall Lowest Miles Showing, Highest Miles Showing C4 or C5, Oldest Corvette By VIN #, Newest Corvette by VIN #, Furthest Drive To Participate, and special awards for Slickest Tires and Worst Paint Job!!  Trophies and cash awards for the Poker Run will be given out at 4:30 with $200 for the best hand, $100 for second best, $50 for third and $1 for fourth.

 

If there is enough interest in a chassis dyno, we will have one available at a cost of $75 for three dyno pulls.  There needs to be at least 10 people to pre-register for dyno runs to make this piece happen.  Speaking of pre-registration, if you pre-register for the Poker Run and Corvette Show by Wednesday, May 5^th you will get the Cinco De Mayo special price of only $20 plus you can buy an event T-Shirt for only $5.  All registrations after Wednesday are $25.  Regular T-Shirt cost will be $10.
